What our customers say
Sailing in France – discover the Mediterranean Côte d’Azur
Our sailing trips in the south of France always start from Marseille or Toulon. Due to their central location on the French Mediterranean coast, these two cities offer the perfect starting point for our sailing trips along the Côte d’Azur. They are also both places where you will immediately be in a good mood when you arrive for your sailing trip. Here you will find plenty of local French restaurants that are just waiting to be tested by you. A welcome start to a sailing trip that you won’t soon forget.

Caribbean feeling in France
You don’t have to sit on a plane for hours to get the ultimate Caribbean feeling – the Côte d’Azur offers beautiful beaches, turquoise waters and breathtaking nature in the Mediterranean. Protected islands such as the Île de Port-Cros and idyllic bays such as Cap Taillat will make the heart of any nature lover beat faster. With a sailing trip, you enjoy maximum flexibility: you decide for yourself where you want to anchor and which hidden paradises you want to discover. In addition to the fascinating landscapes, the wildlife also provides an exotic flair. Rare birds and other special animals make frequent stops here. Even sharks have been spotted off the coast – but there is no danger to swimmers. Experience the Côte d’Azur and enjoy your very own piece of the Caribbean in France!
Sailing highlights not only on the open sea
What is the first city that comes to mind when you think of boat trips? It’s Venice, of course. Venice may not be in the south of France, but there is a small town here that is often referred to as the Venice of France by many visitors. Port Grimaud is an absolute must for every sailing fan and should of course not be missed on your trip along the French Mediterranean coast. The little town offers a fascinating sight. The houses are built very low and are therefore right on the water. The owners’ own boats are moored everywhere in their gardens.

Multifaceted coastal region
Hardly anywhere else in the Mediterranean can you find such a varied and diverse landscape in such a small area. Whether on island groups or on the mainland close to the coast. The Côte d’Azur is always good for a natural spectacle. It hardly matters which course you take on your sailing trip. You will always discover something special. An absolute highlight and definitely not to be missed is the Hyères archipelago. The main island Île de Porquerolles is a particular eye-catcher here. It is particularly beautiful here, as the Hyères belong to the category of somewhat lesser-known island groups. For this reason, the islands are not so overcrowded and can undoubtedly be described as one of the island beauties of the Mediterranean.
One beautiful coastal town follows the next
Even if you might get the impression from the descriptions so far that the Côte d’Azur consists only of beautiful countryside and nature, this is not the case everywhere. The French Mediterranean coast also has a lot to offer holidaymakers who want to spend a day or two in a city on their sailing trips. The cities of the Côte d’Azur, such as Marseille, St. Tropez, Cannes and Nice, are all rich in history and culture and offer a wealth of sights and attractions. For example, visit the Château d’If in Marseille, which served as the filming location for Alexandre Dumas’ “The Count of Monte Cristo”, or experience the breathtaking view of the bay of St. Tropez from the Parc du Château. The churches, museums and historic districts of the Côte d’Azur are also worth a visit and offer an interesting contrast to the modern cities and nightlife.

Toulon – the start of your Côte d’Azur trip
Our starting port of Toulon is the ideal starting point for exploring beautiful cities both to the west and east.
Montpellier, a lively metropolis with around 300,000 inhabitants, awaits you to the west. Despite its impressive beauty, it often remains an insider tip among European cities. Mediterranean flair, a diverse cultural offering and magnificent historical architecture come together here. Thanks to the many students, life in Montpellier is vibrant – a city that combines tradition and modernity in a unique way.
Along the Côte d’Azur – From Marseille to Monaco
Numerous fascinating coastal towns await you to the east of Marseille – from St. Tropez to Cannes, Nice and glamorous Monaco. Along the coast, you will find a new metropolis every 50 kilometers, which can easily compete with the most glamorous cities in Europe.
An absolute highlight is St. Tropez, known for its beautiful beaches and legendary nightlife. Here you can turn night into day in first-class bars, restaurants and clubs. Cannes, on the other hand, impresses with its world-famous film festival, which takes place every year in May and attracts stars and filmmakers from all over the world – a perfect place to experience the luxurious life up close.

Field report: France
I took part in the sailing trip in France and after being on the boat for longer for the first time, I am an absolute sailing fan 🙂 Super organization in advance, a very nice group and a great skipper who showed us how to sail with a lot of patience and calmness and always involved us on board. Not to mention the nature, the great bays where we anchored, the sailing experience, the wind and the sea. I can absolutely recommend Sailwithus! – says Eva
