On the first day (Saturday), the sailing holiday in Greece begins. The crew gets to know each other, shops for groceries, and explores the city. On Sunday, there’s a yacht briefing before the crew sets sail south toward Aegina, where they spend the night. On Monday, they sail from Aegina to Spetses and enjoy a peaceful night in a stunning bay. On Tuesday, the crew heads to the bay of Ermioni and spends the evening in a cozy Greek taverna. They reach Hydra on Wednesday, explore its unique harbor, and then continue sailing to Poros. On Thursday, the sixth day, they set sail for the “Frog Bay” and then return to Poros, where they take a land trip by scooter. On the seventh day (Friday), they relax in the turquoise waters of Agistri before heading back to Alimos Kalamaki to reflect on the week of sailing. On the final day (Saturday), they leave the yacht and end their sailing holiday in Greece.
Possible Itinerary – Peloponnese Tour: Discover the Sailing Adventure!

DAY 1 – Saturday
Sailing in Greece not only sounds relaxing – it truly is. But it also requires some preparation. Once part of your crew has arrived at the marina (usually between 2 and 4 p.m.), you’ll go grocery shopping together. We’re happy to provide you with a shopping list. During the trip, you’ll cook and eat together on the yacht. Saturday is all about getting organized, and typically the boat sets sail on Sunday. Check-in on the yacht starts after 5 p.m. Tonight, we’ll head to Constantinos near the marina for dinner.

DAY 2 – Sunday
After a thorough yacht briefing, it’s time to cast off! Together with other young crew members, you’ll start your sailing adventure in Greece heading south. Since active participation is a key part of any sailwithus trip, our skipper will teach you all the basics. Sailing beginners will learn everything they need to know. Then it’s off toward the port of Aegina—with a refreshing swim stop along the way.

DAY 3 – Monday
Every day is different. Every day is simply beautiful. Today, the sailing route continues southeast from Aegina, past Poros, and on to Spetses. As your trip goes on, a stunning bay awaits you in the northwest—perfectly calm, where you’ll enjoy the stars after a sundowner.
Feeling adventurous, you reflect on the first few days of your eventful sailing week.

DAY 4 – Tuesday
After enjoying carefree fun in crystal-clear water, you and your skipper and crew set sail on a short leg to the bay of Ermioni on the Peloponnese coast. You drop anchor in the bay, just a short distance from Spetses. Ermioni is a charming small town, and in the late afternoon, you dock at the pier. In the evening, you all head to a cozy Greek restaurant for dinner.

DAY 5 – Wednesday
Today’s sail is short. After just under an hour, you arrive in Hydra. This unique harbor—where donkeys and horse-drawn carriages are the only means of transportation—will leave you in awe: it’s shaped like a horseshoe. During the day, you stroll through the narrow streets of the town and enjoy a Frappé, the classic Greek iced coffee, while listening to some relaxed music. If you’re feeling brave, take the plunge and jump off the cliffs into the crystal-clear sea in front of the bar!

DAY 6 – Thursday
In Hydra, you probably turned night into day. Are you an early bird or a late riser? Either way, you’ll set sail a bit later today. After a 30-minute ride, you’ll reach “Frog Bay.” After a refreshing swim, the journey continues to Poros. Feel like a little land adventure on a scooter? In the evening, the Greek local Mikelos welcomes the crew to his rustic restaurant—where your yacht is “parked” right at the doorstep.

DAY 7 – Friday
Today, you’ll relax in the turquoise waters on the north side of Agistri Island. Once your tan gets its final touch, it’s time for some fun sailing. After the swim stop, it’s time to head back to Alimos Kalamaki. In the afternoon, between 3 and 6 p.m., you’ll sail into the marina in Athens. Together, you’ll look back on the week’s adventures. One thing’s for sure: you’ve just experienced an unforgettable week of sailing in Greece.

DAY 8 – Saturday
Your fantastic sailing holiday in Greece comes to an end. On Friday, you already packed your things. On Saturday morning at 9 a.m., you leave the yacht together—feeling a little wistful. You’ve seen and experienced so much, relaxed, and made new friends. Sailing in Greece – you’ll agree: this was pure sailing fun. It was unbelievably good. It was simply sailwithus! Land of gods and heroes
Tap, tap – your fingers are already sore from searching. Whether you’re initially thinking of Croatia, Mallorca, Sicily, Corsica, or the Baltic Sea – or even considering Thailand, the Canaries, the Caribbean, or the Seychelles – sailing a yacht in Greece has a charm of its own. Along the Greek islands, ancient history comes alive! Helen of Troy and Zeus himself invite you to explore one of the most beautiful sailing areas in the Mediterranean. And we’re not exaggerating when we say: you’re in for a natural wonder on your journey across land and sea. Greece is a true sailing paradise. Let yourself be enchanted by dreamy bays and soak up the sun! Stroll through traditional coastal towns and enjoy a glass of ouzo with the locals in cozy tavernas.

Greek facts: 13,000 kilometers of coastline. Over 2,000 islands. All blessed with a Mediterranean climate.
You’ll quickly realize: the best way to explore and fully enjoy a country like this is by yacht. This sailing area offers top experiences in relaxation, swimming, and pure Mediterranean vibes. Highlights include party stops on the islands, strolling through charming harbors, or snorkeling in secluded bays. You’re also welcome to take the helm during your sailing holiday with us and set sail toward the capital, Athens. It’s a fantastic feeling to explore this Greek sailing region—with its Ionian island world—together with “your” crew on your own terms.
Here’s where the wind blows!
Among the sailing areas in the Mediterranean, Greece is one of the most popular destinations thanks to its scenic beauty and excellent sailing conditions. On top of that, Greece offers a wealth of cultural highlights—some of the most iconic in the world. Ancient temples and amphitheaters line your sailing route. Globally famous islands like Rhodes, Crete, Corfu, Mykonos, and of course Elba—chosen by French Emperor Napoleon for his exile—are part of Greece’s legendary landscape. But don’t worry: on your sailing trip, fun always comes first. You’ll set sail with your fellow crew members from Athens, exploring the Peloponnese region in the southern Aegean. What few people know: the name Peloponnese comes from a royal son—Pelops, the son of Tantalus—and means “Island of Pelops.” You might even cross paths with a yacht proudly bearing that strong name.
Mediterranean climate. Ideal sailing conditions.
The Mediterranean—especially Greece—is a stunning region for yacht charters. Whether in summer or winter, it’s sailing season here all year round with warm temperatures. The most popular months are February, March, May to July, and October. Why? Because the Aegean is one of the windiest sailing areas in Europe. A natural weather divide runs through the Aegean, roughly splitting the country into west and east. On the Peloponnese peninsula in the west—just south of Athens—the weather is usually calm, but there’s still plenty of wind to set sail and switch off the engine. The so-called Meltemi, a strong northern wind, arrives in July and August in a milder form, with wind speeds between 2 and 5 Beaufort.
This makes the Peloponnese sailing region ideal for both beginners and experienced sailors. This is pure sailing!

Well-developed charter infrastructure with modern marinas
The Peloponnese sailing area is incredibly diverse thanks to its many offshore islands and bays. On your daily legs, you’ll sail with good winds to various islands in the Saronic Gulf: Spetses, Dokos, Aegina, Poros, or Hydra. You’re sure to love the small fishing villages, white sandy beaches, and crystal-clear waters. Sailors especially appreciate the Saronic Gulf because its islands, coasts, and beaches remain largely untouched by mass tourism. Dive into this island world!
But your Saronic cabin charter also stands out because you’ll anchor at modern marinas along the entire route. The starting point in Athens, known to the locals as “Alimos Marina,” is one of the most well-known sailing hubs in Greece. As one of the country’s largest marinas, it truly deserves an extra badge of honor: “Premium.”
The Saronic Islands: Saron’s Sailing Paradise in the Mediterranean
On board with Sailwithus, you’ll experience sailing along the Greek coast at its finest. During your sailing trip in Greece with a skipper, you’ll explore the Peloponnese coastline. Right here—between the Peloponnese and Attica, home to the capital city Athens—lies the Saronic Gulf. Fun fact: the sailing area you’re exploring is named after the mythical King Saron. Many of the surrounding islands are also rooted in Greek mythology—like Hydra, named after the multi-headed serpent-like monster, or Poros, named after the personification of abundance. Both islands, and their coastlines, have their own distinct charm. On Hydra, you can only get around on foot or by donkey, giving you a chance to admire the island’s art and picturesque architecture. On Poros, the breathtaking views will quickly capture your attention. Take your time to discover its dreamy corners before you set sail again!
Yachts, Charters, Sun & Fun: heading further south in Greece
There are more island groups in the Aegean Sea. The Sporades are one of them. In addition to the Saronic Gulf, the Dodecanese region is also highly recommended. Sunseekers will love this sunniest part of Greece in the southeastern Aegean. The name itself, derived from Greek (“Dodeka” meaning twelve; “Nesos” meaning island), reveals that the group consists of a dozen main islands. There are also many smaller islands, perfect to explore on a sailing trip. The largest islands include Rhodes and Kos, the latter covering around 288 square kilometers. In ancient times, Kos was famous for its wine and amphorae. Even today, its wine is very popular and can easily rival wines from Italy. The island’s sandy beaches are truly unique and offer plenty of leisure activities: you can book a catamaran and join a sailing trip or explore many fascinating bays by boat. Flotilla sailing is also something you can try out on Kos. Another picture-perfect Sporades island with crystal-clear water is Skiathos. The northern part of the island is almost uninhabited, while the south is lively and offers a great range of tourist activities.
Ionian Islands and Island Hopping in the Cyclades
To complete the list of Greece’s islands: the Ionian Islands are another prominent island group. Located in the Ionian Sea, they stretch along Greece’s western coast from Albania in the north to the Peloponnese in the south. The Ionian Islands commonly include seven main islands: Corfu, Paxos, Lefkada, Ithaca, Kefalonia, Zakynthos, and Kythira. After kicking off your journey with a cultural stop in Athens, departing from the Alimos Marina, the Cyclades are also a fantastic option—with islands like Paros, Naxos, and Santorini being among the most popular sailing destinations. Paros is the third-largest island in the Cyclades. As you can see, Greece truly is an island paradise.
Ever heard of the “blue hour”?
With Sailwithus, you don’t just discover stunning sailing areas. During your sailing holiday in Greece, you’ll arrive in charming harbor towns in the evening and experience the magical blue hour. This special glow in the sky—just after sunset and before nightfall—comes included in your Greek sailing trip, free of charge.

Group trip or individual getaway? Both!
As you can see: for travelers looking to enjoy a fun and hassle-free summer holiday at an affordable price, a sailing trip with cabin charter is the perfect choice. It’s essentially an individual vacation—you don’t have to worry about logistics, yet you still get a varied itinerary that you can help shape and personalize.

Even on a family yacht charter, both young and old get their money’s worth. It’s best to get all the info and offers you need right away. Of course, we’ll also provide you with all the relevant details at the start of your sailing trip—no need to ask. That’s part of our service. Your crew has reached the day’s destination. Now the world of possibilities is wide open: relax, go for a swim, or head out on a sightseeing tour. With your skipper in Greece, you’ll enjoy unforgettable sailing moments along the islands and gain hands-on knowledge of sailing. In the evening, you can dine out with your crew, take a stroll along the harbor, or go on a pub crawl—whatever suits your mood. And on warm nights, feel free to sleep out on deck. Why?
