Field report: Italy
A great vacation that will remain in our memories! We had an unforgettable sailing week in Sardinia (from 30.09-07.10) with skipper Gernot. This week had everything you need for a fabulous vacation: good weather, swimming stops in beautiful bays, relaxation, great conversations, excellent food, the right mix of anchoring in bays as well as staying overnight in the harbor, fantastic sunsets, the impressive landscape of Sardinia/Corsica and of course the opportunity to sail (even if there was sometimes a lack of the right wind – but it didn’t affect the mood or the pleasure). Our skipper Gernot gave us complete freedom and flexibility as to how we wanted to organize our day, but also always brought new ideas and alternatives into the planning, so that in the end all our wishes were fulfilled and we spent wonderful days. The teaching of the basics of sailing for newcomers as well as the refresher course on the basics of sailing was very informal and a lot of fun. A big thank you for a fantastic week goes to all our fellow sailors this week, skipper Gernot and the Sailwithus team for the smooth organization and the good knack for putting together the crew and the mix of bringing the right characters together. With this in mind, ahoy and see you next time. – says Franzi
