We say Green Ahoi!
sailwithus wants to make an active contribution to cleaning the Mediterranean together with you. In the past, we have already achieved a lot together with motivated fellow sailors during beach clean-ups and spontaneous collection actions in idyllic bays. Since 2021, we have been organizing a very special Croatia sailing trip in collaboration with our local partners, under the motto of sustainability and marine conservation.
Of course, the sailing experience remains the main focus of this trip – but at some of our anchor stops, we deliberately take time to collect trash together and actively contribute to the protection of our seas.
A portion of the proceeds from this week is also donated to an organization that is permanently dedicated to cleaning the sea – so that our shared goal continues beyond the sailing trip.

Actively protect the sea
During our trip, we collect trash that has accumulated on beaches at selected stops together. The beach clean-ups are initiated by the crew – voluntary, casually organized, and with a real impact on nature.
Travelling sustainably
Since 2021, our sailing trip has been dedicated to sustainability and marine conservation. By working with local partners, we create an eco-friendly sailing experience and promote long-term change.
Relaxation and a good deed
The shared sailing holiday is naturally at the heart of it all – sunshine, wind, and crystal-clear water. At the same time, we take a little time each day to collect litter and contribute to marine conservation – relaxed, voluntary, and with plenty of good vibes.

On the Green Ahoi trip, you can help us clean up the Dalmatian coast and take a stand against marine pollution! Enjoy all the benefits of a sailing holiday while doing something good for the environment. Beach clean-ups don’t take much time and can be a lot of fun when done together as a group.
Together against plastic waste in the Mediterranean.
Beach clean-up – we’re on it! To keep Croatia’s beaches as beautiful as we want them to be, we really tidy them up! Every day we anchor in a stunning new bay and clear it of washed-up plastic waste. As a crew, we spend around 2 hours on this, coming prepared with bin bags and feel-good music to make the time fly by. We proudly look at the results and raise a toast to our good deeds! On our Green Ahoi! sailing trips, we work closely with Plastic Oceans Europe (POE). We also want to encourage you to help protect our oceans with a donation if possible.
Sailing with like-minded people.
Come on board with fellow sailors aged between 21 and 39. You’ll naturally get to know new people while exploring the Mediterranean or overseas. The sailwithus concept is perfect especially for beginners: under the guidance of your skipper, you’ll get involved hands-on. Your crew will be a mix of complete newcomers with no prior experience and seasoned sailors.
We are a team.
Get involved and lend a hand. What matters is working together — and it helps you bond with your crew quickly. Often so well that you’ll meet your new friends again even after your sailing holiday, or catch up with them on one of our trips next summer at the latest. The great thing about sailing with sailwithus is: everyone does what they do best — whether on deck or in the galley.
Individual holiday where everyone has a say.
We usually sail with several yachts and make swimming stops or intermediate visits along the way to do things together – on the water or on land. Your sailing holiday is therefore a kind of individual trip where everyone can share their wishes and have a say – depending on the weather and situation. Also a matter close to our hearts: environmentally conscious travel. Sustainability is part of the sailwithus concept. Since we travel using wind power, this holiday is the perfect combination of sailing and enjoying nature with like-minded people. And if you arrive by coach, train, or share a car with others, you’ll reach your destination even more climate-friendly.

Plastic Oceans has made it its mission to raise awareness of the problem of plastic pollution and promote sustainable communities across Europe. Founded as a nonprofit organisation in the USA, the foundation’s global goal is to end plastic pollution and foster sustainable habitats worldwide. At a local level, they take action through their branches Plastic Oceans Canada, Plastic Oceans Chile, Plastic Oceans Europe, and Plastic Oceans Mexico. The organisation aims to drive global change based on four pillars: education, activism, advocacy, and science.

You’re traveling with like-minded people because you all share one thing: the dream of a sailing holiday in the Mediterranean. Your crew is young and a lively mix of complete beginners and experienced sailors. What matters most to you is simple, stress-free planning and preparation.
On sailwithus sailing trips, you’re always travelling sustainably. We encourage our fellow sailors to take part in at least one beach clean-up on every trip, so that we can help preserve the beautiful regions we sail in. Sailing is comparable to camping on the water and therefore not a typical luxury holiday. From time to time, there may be minor inconveniences that are simply part of the adventure.

Your Most Frequently Asked Questions
No, you don’t need any prior experience. Our sailing trips are for everyone – whether you’re completely new to sailing or already have some experience. Throughout the week, our skippers will teach you everything you need to know and make sure you’re always safe and well taken care of.
That depends on the type of trip you book. On our Youngline trip, your fellow sailors will be between 18 and 39 years old. On our Forever Young trip, they are between 40 and 59 years old. For our themed and training trips (Green Ahoi, Yoga, SKS), there is no age limit.
All crew members meet on Saturday between 2 and 4 p.m. at the marina. Around 5 p.m., you’ll board the yacht, and after a detailed safety briefing the next morning, you’ll set sail. A later arrival on Saturday evening is theoretically possible, but we don’t recommend it – please coordinate with your fellow crew members via WhatsApp in advance!
Our fellow sailors and skippers come from the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland), so the main language on board will be German. However, all skippers speak English, and international sailors are very welcome.
On the first day of the sailing trip, cabins will be assigned. The crew and skippers can choose their cabins based on their preferences and needs. Generally, cabins are assigned with gender separation. If you would like to stay with a specific person or prefer not to share a cabin with someone of a different gender, feel free to mention this during booking. We will take your preferences into account.
We sail on modern yachts of various sizes: 3-cabin, 4-cabin, 5-cabin, and 6-cabin yachts. Accordingly, there are between 5 and 12 fellow sailors on board.
