On Board & Sailing Route

No, all of our sailing trips are organized with skippers who can theoretically and practically operate the yacht alone.

YouTube Video

Young, relaxed adults usually between 20 and 39 years old, with or without sailing experience.
On our themed trips, the age range can vary.

The whole crew meets on Saturday between 2 pm and 4 pm at the marina.
Around 5 pm, you’ll board the yacht. After a comprehensive safety briefing the next morning, we set sail.
A later arrival until Saturday evening is theoretically possible but not recommended – please coordinate via WhatsApp with your crew beforehand!

In the first two days, your sense of balance needs some adjustment.
However, you’ll quickly get your „sea legs.“
We often compare it to hiccups: if you stay distracted (e.g., steering the yacht), you’ll usually feel fine.
We sail mostly in calm waters.
Stay above deck, look at the horizon, breathe fresh air, and you’ll be good!

YouTube Video

We sail on modern yachts with 3, 5, or 6 cabins.

YouTube Video

Depending on the yacht size, you will sail with 5 to 12 crew members.

YouTube Video

The main language is German since most crew members and skippers are from the DACH region.
However, English is also spoken and international sailors are very welcome.

Yes, every yacht has a fully equipped kitchen with a two-burner gas stove.

YouTube Video

The yacht’s power comes from car batteries.
Devices like hairdryers or curling irons will not work.
Phones, cameras, etc., can be charged in ports or via 12-volt adapters (USB or cigarette lighter).

Yes. Each yacht has at least two wet cells, each with a toilet, sink, and shower.
Water is limited, so daily long showers aren’t possible.
At ports, yachts can refill water tanks and nice marina facilities are usually available for more thorough showers.

YouTube Video

After breakfast, we usually set sail around 10 am and reach the next harbor or bay in the afternoon or evening.
Sometimes we plan one day without sailing for relaxation.

YouTube Video

Everyone must actively help.
Sailing together is fun and there’s always time to relax and party.
Daily duties include:

Mooring
We work as a team from the start.

Sailing

Steering

Cleaning deck and cabins

Cooking

Shopping

Thanks to our yacht’s kitchen, oven, and fridge, cooking is easy.
Small teams take turns daily for cooking, washing dishes, and shopping.
You decide what you want to eat.
In harbors, you can also explore local restaurants (ask your skipper for tips).

Not at all.
There are plenty of other duties you can take on, like shopping or assisting.

No, the route is flexible and depends on wind conditions and crew mood.
When sailing with multiple yachts, there’s a bit more coordination, but still lots of freedom.

YouTube Video

You are free to choose your food.
We recommend coordinating with your group for balanced meals

Yes, skippers are included in meals onboard and at restaurants.

We anchor in bays or harbors every day.
You can swim, explore, shop, or visit restaurants regularly.

Generally, we only sail during the day.
However, the group and skipper can plan a sunrise sail if desired.

Local charter companies provide fast support.
There might be some waiting time, which you can spend exploring nearby towns or relaxing.

Smoking is only allowed on deck, preferably on the leeward side (downwind).
Please always respect other guests.

Yes, snorkeling gear is welcome.
However, scuba diving or kite gear should be discussed with us first due to limited space.

No Wi-Fi onboard, but mobile phone reception is available most of the time, except in remote bays.

Zero tolerance while sailing.
Once the yacht is anchored or docked, you are free to enjoy drinks.

Cabins are assigned on the first day according to preferences and needs.
We separate genders unless otherwise requested.
If you want to share with someone specific, please tell us during booking.

Yes.
Upon request, the skipper can provide a nautical mile confirmation at the end of your trip.

Yes, all our skippers have the necessary sailing and radio licenses.
We ensure that every skipper meets our selection criteria.

Absolutely.
Every yacht is equipped with:

Emergency position-indicating radio beacons (EPIRB)

Life jackets

Distress signals

Safety belts

Light buoys
Some yachts also have:

Life rafts

Skippers usually sleep in a cabin.
Sometimes they may sleep in the cockpit or salon, depending on the yacht.

Included:

Dinghy with outboard motor

Bedding and towels

Use of the gas system

Battery usage

Your skipper is an experienced and passionate sailor, usually around the same age as the crew.
Their experience and positive attitude are more important than age.

Mainly German, but also English for international guests.

YouTube Video

Each crew plans its own route.
Since we often sail with multiple yachts, flotilla sailing is possible if the crews wish to coordinate.
